Did you ever feel you can't describe your mood with either words, drawings or any other shape? Isn't it nice to have enough words to describe your feelings? It is said that some northen cultures have hundreds of words to describe snow; dozens of words to describe deers.
My current mood is, I'd say, punpunish.
I glanced through the recent raws to final volume and it striked me: I feel punpunish.
Nice thing to know maybe. At least, I felt nice as I found the word. The issue now is, not every single person around knows about Punpun. It's 18+, no, like, 21+? I'd say, 21+.
Hox promised to start the scanlate as soon as raws arrive to them. Nice to know, too. If I understood the pictures right (didn't even try to read), this thing is a pretty nice addition to my collection of other people's concepts about...fake findings in exploring the world and yourself. I might've even buy it despite of all fkng and murdering scenes if it ever gets licensed. This manga also shows how sensitive boys can be. But I still know nothing about Pegasis and that poop god thing. I doubt it will ever be explained, though. I wonder how Asano Inio feels now as a girl. Was it really worth it, I wonder. (s)He depicted male feelings nicely.
BTW pirates are selling Pluto vol 1 and 2 but too expensive aaaand...pirates =_=
So, about the words and other shapes: whenever you give shape to something, you lose some parts of it. Clay goes on your hands, paint only does it 2d, and so on, you get the idea?~~ The moods and feelings won't flow as words and comparisons (isn't it equal?..). Like, never, I guess. The bad part of it is not only that you can't fully express what you feel, but also that by describing it with the wrong words to yourself you easily might get the wrong idea about what is happening to you. And losing the littlest part of concept can screw the whole understanding of it. Do you remember putting - instead of + at some math problem at school accidently? That's what I'm talking about: you lose a single stroke somewhere at the beginning and everything goes wrong no matter how hard you...
...With this said, goodnight, me.

Feature 2: Printing
There is that overlooked traditional art section...
...named "Printing". This here is the feature of something I loved from there, mostly Linotype and Silk screening. Why? Because just look what kind of stylish effects do these techniques provide. These shapes. They just demand some stylisation from the artist, but what kind of it? Any! They can be tastefully rough or rich-detailed...
... but in any case they give out a special vibe of natural, traditional lines, a vibe of vintage posters, bubblegum inserts and old classic book illustrations. They're not as glossy as modern digital imitations. But that's what makes them attractive. A fine e

I understand exactly whatcha mean, Road. It's definitely happened to me before--the feeling that you can't put something into words (or art or music) without losing something about it. And also that doing so or even starting to do so may change the intrinsic nature of the thing.
I haven't read Oyasumi Punpun yet, but my bro says it's a fine manga and he's got pretty good taste (or at least similar tastes to mine) so I look forward to reading it one day soon!
Also, where do you live, Road? Are you looking for Pluto in English or Japanese? I've seen them (in both languages) sometimes at used bookstores in my neighborhood. I think I even own a copy or two, though I'm not sure what volume. If you're interested, maybe I could help you track down some non-pirated copies...
